Monk transmog - Flaming focus

[Crown of Seven Sacred Seals] (heroic), Head
[Yeti-Hide Spaulders] (heroic), Shoulders
[Robes of Summer Flame] (normal), Chest
[Vellum-Ripper Gloves] (heroic), Hands
[Seal of Karmic Return] (heroic), Waist
[Grassy Bindings] (alliance quest), Feet
[Stolen Talrendis Boots] (horde quest), Feet
[Giorgio's Caduceus of Pure Moods] (raid finder), Staff

I often feel sorry for monks, because when creating a monk transmog you kind of have to use leftover pieces from the other classes' gear. This transmog however is built around the monk tier 16 set (heroic Armor of Seven Sacred Seals), with a few druid pieces thrown in there to make it feel fiery and forest-ish.

When I make monk transmogs I almost always use a panda model to show them. I can't help but to think that the monk class suits them best. Sorry, all you monks that play other races!

Trial Hunter transmog - Wyrmrest Scout

This is my trial / f2p hunter Shanvah with her pets Alagai and Couzi (all names are from the Demon Cycle books). I've been working on this transmog for some time now, gathering green drops from rares in Azeroth, collecting Darkmoon tickets for the heirloom shoulder and gaining honor points for the tabard. I'm quite happy with how this turned out for my level 20!

Creating a transmog for a trial / f2p character can be quite tricky. When it comes to hunters, shamans, paladins and warriors, you have to think twice about the gear you want to transmog to. Since hunters and shamans wear mail when they reach level 40, and paladins and warriors similarly wear plate, their heirloom parts are originally mail and plate respectively which automatically turn into leather (for shamans and hunters) and mail (for warriors and paladins) if you wear them on lower levels. In this particular case with my hunter, my [Champion Herod's Shoulder] is originally a mail piece which has turned into leather since my character is only level 20. And here's the tricky part: you can't transmog this gear. The game still recognizes this gear as mail if you try to apply a leather transmog to it, and it won't accept a mail piece as a transmog either since a level 20 character can't wear mail yet.

Because of this, I decided to create the whole transmog around the hunter heirloom parts! Of course, it IS possible to use the rogue heirlooms instead since they have similar stats and stay leather, making them transmoggable, but I quite like the [Champion Herod's Shoulder], so I made it the foundation for this transmog. It will look alright once I get the [Champion's Deathdealer Breastplate] (which is pink and doesn't fit with the color scheme) as well since the tabard hides it.

[Rifle Commander's Eyepatch] (alliance), Head
[Champion Herod's Shoulder], Shoulder
[Feral Harness], Chest
[Bard's Gloves], Hands
[Feral Cord], Waist
[Spothide Leggings] (alliance), Legs
[Bard's Boots], Feet
[Flarecrazed Cloak] (alliance), Cloak
[Crossbow of the Crown], Crossbow
[Tabard of the Wyrmrest Accord], Tabard
[Stylish Black Shirt], Shirt
[Reins of the Grey Riding Yak], Mount
[Deviate Coiler Hatchling], Pet (left)
[Corrupted Tide Crawler], Pet (Right)

Edit: I like how this following guide to get the tabard was valid for like a week... It is actually no longer possible to buy Commendation Badges for justice points since they removed that currency. The Commendation badges are also removed. This means the tabard is no longer available as f2p.

The [Tabard of the Wyrmrest Accord] is quite fun to get. Once you reach 500 honor points from battlegrounds you can exchange them for 250 justice points (in Stormwind for Alliance, in Orgrimmar for Horde). Travel to Northrend by boat/zeppelin, fly to Dalaran and buy 6 Wyrmrest Commendation Badge. Using them will allow you to reach friendly status with the Wyrmrest Accord. Then jump down from Dalaran and run to Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight and buy the tabard from the quartermaster at the top level of the temple (there is an npc that will help you fly all the way up). This same trick will work for [Tabard of the Argent Crusade] and [Tabard of the Kirin Tor] as well.

Trial Druid transmog - Verdant

As I talked about in my previous post, I enjoy playing on my trial account. Here's yet another of my trial characters, Hemavan (named after a skiing resort in Sweden...) She's a troll resto druid and here are two transmogs I made for her. In my last post I talked about how it's pretty hard to get heirlooms for trial characters. This is the reason why Hemavan is wearing cloth chest and shoulders in one picture; I haven't gotten hold of the leather heirlooms yet, and the cloth chest and shoulders give better stats than any equivalent leather items. The leather set is for later, when I have all the proper gear. Many items are from horde quests, just so you know.

I promise no frogs were harmed during this shoot!

Rogue transmog - Candy cane

A rogue transmog based on the [Ghostshroud] head. Rogues usually dress in dark colours so I thought it would be fun to create a brighter transmog... even though it's maybe not as stealthy as the usual dark hoods. Then again, these are the same colours as you get to wear when playing Assassin's Creed, so on some level it's bound to work.

[Violet Stalker Shoulderpads], Shoulders
[Wolffear Harness], Chest
[Formal White Shirt], Shirt
[Bindings of the Depths], Wrists
[Furious Gladiator's Leather Gloves], Hands

Monk transmog - Armor of crimson steel

[Red Crane Crown] (heroic), Head
[Shoulderpads of the Silvermoon Retainer], Shoulders
[Burnt Leather Vest], Chest
[Red Crane Gauntlets] (heroic), Hands
[Shadow-Walker's Cord], Waist
[Legwraps of the Broken Beast] (horde), Legs
[Prospector's Boots], Feet
[Crimson Steel], One-hand Fist weapon (left and middle)
[Demonblood Eviscerator], One-hand Fist weapon (right)
[Orgrimmar Doublet] (horde), Shirt
I felt inspired to put yet another monk transmog together today. I used the Red Crane-set as a base this time too, but the heroic version this time. This was intended for brewmaster monks, but any monk can use it for their transmog, of course, as long as they are horde. As you can see in the list to the left, some of the items are horde only.

Happy New Years!

Monk transmog - The guiding herbalist

[Red Crane Mantle] (raid finder), Shoulder
[Decaying Herbalist's Robes], Chest
[Gloves of the Silver Assassin], Hands (alliance only, left picture)
[Imbued Pioneer Gloves], Hands (bottom picture)
[Luminescent Bracers], Wrists (bottom picture)
[Dreadful Gladiator's Waistband of Accuracy], Waist
[Trickster's Boots], Feet
[Guiding Star], Main-hand mace
[Aran's Soothing Sapphire], Off-hand (left picture)
[Evergreen Branch], Off-hand (bottom picture)

I just got the urge to create a new monk transmog. This time I tried to make it fit for a mistweaver monk. Blue is my favourite colour and I love the colour on this mace from Ulduar.

The gloves in the left picture are for alliance only, while the gloves and wrists in the bottom picture are available for both classes. Good luck!

Monk transmog - Mountainscale

[Fuzzy Headcover], Head
[Wastewalker Shoulderpads], Shoulders
[Mountainscaler Hide Robes], Chest
[Armwraps of the Kaldorei Protector], Wrists
[Marshseeker Gloves], Hands
[Belt of Swift Failure], Waist
[Mountainscaler Hide Legguards], Legs
[Anomuran Footpads], Feet (a/h)
[Angerfang Spear], Polearm

When I started making this I was really excited to make a monk transmog, but once I started looking at gear I realized how hard it is to put together an outfit for a monk. The only tier gear they have is (obviously) tier 14 which my MogIt doesn't have yet (I might have to check if there's an update ready...), so I tried to create an outfit out of old leather pieces.

This gear is wearable by any leather class but I decided to label it as a monk transmog since that's what I intended it to be. I used the head as a foundation for this one and tried to work with colours that would go well with it. I don't really know why, but I really like the model of this head gear and I think it fits a mysterious monk pretty well.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you anything fancier than a set full of greens for my first monk transmog, but I still like this and I hope that maybe it will grow on you as well. If it doesnt, maybe you will like my next monk transmog better ^^

Druid transmog - Ferocious hoperender

I'm sure many of you would agree with me when I say that my last druid transmog resembles a restoration druid rather than a feral druid, so I thought it was time I created something for all the cute cats and bears out there. I went with the [Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders] as a base for this, because I thought they felt... feral-ish. I ended up with two similar sets, and this is how they turned out!

[Headguard of Solace], Head
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders], Shoulders
[Breastplate of the Incendiary Soul], Chest
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Gloves], Hands
[Vermillion Belt], Waist
[Leggings of the Broken Beast], Legs (alliance)
[Boots of the Neverending Path], Feet
[Hoperender], Polearm
[Ruthless Gladiator's Dragonhide Helm], Head
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders], Shoulders
[Breastplate of the Incendiary Soul], Chest
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Gloves], Hands
[Cord of Dark Suffering], Waist

Rogue transmog - Warp-raiding assassin

It hit me that I only had one rogue transmog in my blog so far; one that I actually didn't make myself. So I decided to put something together, and let a level 1 goblin toon show it off. :] I thought his beard was so cute, I just had to upload the above close-up <3 It is moments like these that make me think World of Warcraft is a beautiful game.

Once again I mixed some random pieces from rogue tier and pvp gear with leather quest rewards, and I think I managed to match them pretty well for not using many set pieces. I present to you my newest creation: a brownish-orange, yellow and green rogue!

[Warp-Raider's Eyepatch], Head
[Shoulderpads of Vehemence], Shoulders
[Wrathful Gladiator's Leather Tunic], Chest
[Marshseeker Gloves], Hands
[Titan-Forged Belt of Triumph], Waist
[Shaggy Wyrmleather Leggings], Legs
[Slayer's Boots], Feet
[Darkmoon Dirk], Dagger, One-hand (off hand)
[Namlak's Supernumerary Sticker], Dagger, One-hand (main hand)

Rogue transmog - Demonic

I stumbled upon Shadowángel by accident, an accommodating rogue whose gear I will feature in this post. I spotted him in Dalaran, showing off his Netherblade gear and Warglaives, and he easily stood out in the crowd with his TBC-inspired gear. Shadowángel let me take a few screenshots of him, and showed me some of his outfits (I think the Netherblade-combination to the right is my favourite).

We discussed the fact that you can't transmog to legendary items such as the [Warglaives of Azzinoth] he's wielding. While I think they would be nice transmog items, he explained to me that he thinks it is a good thing they aren't transmoggable because they will remain more exlcusive this way. He also proved that he could still do 50k dps on Madness of Deathwing in LFR with these level 70 swords. Impressive!

As you already might have figured out, the t4 Netherblade gear shown above is only available for rogues. Shadowángel did however show me some other outfits that are more easily accessibile for other classes. Down below are some screenshots of his current red and black leather gear, where all the clothing is available for druids as well as rogues, except from the rogue tier 2 shoulders.

The sets below include the following:
[Cursed Vision of Sargeras], Head
[Bloodfang Spaulders], Shoulders
[Wolf Rider's Padded Amor], Chest
[Embossed Leather Gloves], Gloves
[Bladeshadow Wristguards], Wrists
[Dark leather Belt], Waist
[Warbear Woolies], Legs
[Prospector's Boots], Feet
Left picture: [Warglaive of Azzinoth], Main hand Sword
Left picture: [Warglaive of Azzinoth], Off hand Sword
Right picture: [The Night Blade], One-hand Dagger
Right picture: [Searing Sunblade], Off hand Dagger

These beautiful red/black and yellow daggers hide enchants. The red/black dagger, [The Night Blade], is probably the item on the list that would take the longest to farm, though.

And yes. Yes, I do think most outfits suit female models better.

Druid transmog - Blessing of Elune

This look is probably my favourite of all transmog sets so far, featuring the [Valorous Nightsong Spaulders] (why do druids get all the nice gear?) from the druid tier 8. I put this set together for my friend and helped him farm it, and I think his night elf druid Illthiá looks awesome in it!

This set is mainly a mix of druid tier pieces; the chest, legs and shoes are from the t2 Stormrage set, while the head, shoulders and gloves are parts from the t8 Valorous Nightsong set. A brown belt and a green or white haircut makes this outfit complete. My weapon of choice would be the [Draenic Wildstaff], but since my friend had a dagger equipped we went with a matching PvP-dagger and one of the off-hands available for purchase from the Justice point vendors.

[Valorous Nightsong Cover], Head
[Valorous Nightsong Spaulders], Shoulders
[Stormrage Chestguard], Chest
[Valorous Nightsong Gloves], Gloves
[Expedition Girdle], Waist
[Stormrage Legguards], Legs
[Stormrage Boots], Feet
[Brutal Gladiator's Shanker], One-hand Dagger
[Apple-Bent Bough], Off-hand
