Monk transmog - Armor of crimson steel

[Red Crane Crown] (heroic), Head
[Shoulderpads of the Silvermoon Retainer], Shoulders
[Burnt Leather Vest], Chest
[Red Crane Gauntlets] (heroic), Hands
[Shadow-Walker's Cord], Waist
[Legwraps of the Broken Beast] (horde), Legs
[Prospector's Boots], Feet
[Crimson Steel], One-hand Fist weapon (left and middle)
[Demonblood Eviscerator], One-hand Fist weapon (right)
[Orgrimmar Doublet] (horde), Shirt
I felt inspired to put yet another monk transmog together today. I used the Red Crane-set as a base this time too, but the heroic version this time. This was intended for brewmaster monks, but any monk can use it for their transmog, of course, as long as they are horde. As you can see in the list to the left, some of the items are horde only.

Happy New Years!

Monk transmog - The guiding herbalist

[Red Crane Mantle] (raid finder), Shoulder
[Decaying Herbalist's Robes], Chest
[Gloves of the Silver Assassin], Hands (alliance only, left picture)
[Imbued Pioneer Gloves], Hands (bottom picture)
[Luminescent Bracers], Wrists (bottom picture)
[Dreadful Gladiator's Waistband of Accuracy], Waist
[Trickster's Boots], Feet
[Guiding Star], Main-hand mace
[Aran's Soothing Sapphire], Off-hand (left picture)
[Evergreen Branch], Off-hand (bottom picture)

I just got the urge to create a new monk transmog. This time I tried to make it fit for a mistweaver monk. Blue is my favourite colour and I love the colour on this mace from Ulduar.

The gloves in the left picture are for alliance only, while the gloves and wrists in the bottom picture are available for both classes. Good luck!

Mage transmog - Enlightened arcanist

[Incanter's Cowl], Head
[Arcanist Mantle], Shoulders
[Firehawk Robes] (heroic), Chest
[Gloves of Penitence], Hands
[Sash of Jordan], Waist
[Replica Devout Sandals], Feet
[Enlightenment], Staff

I started with the cowl when I created this mage transmog and worked with the colours in it. I came across this lovely staff while looking for gear with matching colours and decided to go with this even though it is a bit over-used. If you think purple is the right colour for your mage then this set might be worth aiming for.

I decided to use a gnome as a model, because I think both the cowl and the shoulderpads look better on a gnome model than on the taller races. I'm not quite sure why but I like that parts of the shoulders are hidden inside the headpiece, making them look smaller. It makes the outfit look different than it otherwise would.

Death Knight transmog - Corruption

If you play a death knight (unholy probably looks the best in this) and if you kept this helmet from Dragon Soul Raid finder, maybe this gear would suit your character? All you have to do now is get your hands on [Armageddon], and, of course, the shoulders that drop from Lei Shi in the new Terrace of Endless Spring raid ;)

[Necrotic Boneplate Helmet] (raid finder), Head
[Shoulderguards of the Lost Catacomb], Shoulders
[Scourgelord Battleplate], Chest
[Refitted Bruiser Gauntlets], Hands
[Bogslayer Belt], Waist
[Cataclysmic Gladiator's Dreadplate Legguards], Legs
[Scourge Fanged Stompers] (heroic), Feet
[No'Kaled, the Elements of Death] (heroic), One-handed axe
[Hand of Morchok], One-handed axe
[Armageddon], Two-handed sword (lower picture)

Monk transmog - Mountainscale

[Fuzzy Headcover], Head
[Wastewalker Shoulderpads], Shoulders
[Mountainscaler Hide Robes], Chest
[Armwraps of the Kaldorei Protector], Wrists
[Marshseeker Gloves], Hands
[Belt of Swift Failure], Waist
[Mountainscaler Hide Legguards], Legs
[Anomuran Footpads], Feet (a/h)
[Angerfang Spear], Polearm

When I started making this I was really excited to make a monk transmog, but once I started looking at gear I realized how hard it is to put together an outfit for a monk. The only tier gear they have is (obviously) tier 14 which my MogIt doesn't have yet (I might have to check if there's an update ready...), so I tried to create an outfit out of old leather pieces.

This gear is wearable by any leather class but I decided to label it as a monk transmog since that's what I intended it to be. I used the head as a foundation for this one and tried to work with colours that would go well with it. I don't really know why, but I really like the model of this head gear and I think it fits a mysterious monk pretty well.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you anything fancier than a set full of greens for my first monk transmog, but I still like this and I hope that maybe it will grow on you as well. If it doesnt, maybe you will like my next monk transmog better ^^

Priest transmog - Priestess of the moon

As I'm sure you're all aware, Mists of Pandaria launched about a week ago, and just like everyone else I've been busy playing. I really love the expansion so far and I had a lot of fun leveling my priest!

To celebrate her 90th level I decided to give her a new transmog, which I'm showing you here. I am aware that I have more priest transmogs in my blog than any other class, which of course is because I play a priest myself and I get to play around more with her gear than with any other class gear, and I hope you don't mind...

I really enjoy wearing this set and I hope you like it too. The robe is crafted from a tailoring pattern bought in Dire Maul, while the head is an honor points item in Wintergrasp, and the belt is bought for honor points from the Alterac Valley-vendor.

The rest of the items are trickier to get: shoulders are the priest t8 shoulders that drop from Thorim in 10 man Ulduar, gloves are a quest reward in Blasted Lands (alliance/horde), lantern is a quest reward in Western Plaguelands (both factions) and the dagger drops from first boss in Magister's Terrace on heroic difficulty. Fyi, the dagger hides enchants. :D

[Titan-Forged Hood of Salvation], Head
[Valorous Shoulderpads of Sanctification], Shoulders
[Mooncloth Robe], Chest
[Gloves of Compassion], Hands (alliance)
[Gloves of Purchased Time], Hands (horde)
[Highlander's Cloth Girdle], Waist, or:
[Mindfire Waistband], Waist
[Jaded Crystal Dagger], Main hand dagger
[Light-Imbued Lantern], Off hand
[Swift Moonsaber], Mount

Hunter transmog - Mighty dragon's maw

Wohoo! Mists of Pandaria launches in less than a week. To celebrate this I made two hunter transmogs based on the Season 12 Hunter tier! This set has a new belt model that I wanted to try, and I think the hat looks great together with Pandaria's whole asian theme.

I think the [Epaulets of the Devourer] look really good together with that tier set. Unfortunately these shoulders are Alliance only (see the little lion heads?), which is the reason why I made two different sets with the hat as a base. The outfit the worgen is wearing is therefore only available for Alliance. I suggest switching the chestpiece out for the [Lord's Breastplate] if you're using this transmog for a female character.

For the orc one I was just looking for a reason to use that awesome gun. <3 Looks so badass and really fits the shoulders and their lightning glow effects.

[Dreadful Gladiator's Chain Helm], Head
[Merciless Gladiator's Chain Spaulders], Shoulders
[Veteran Armor], Chest
[Mail Combat Armguards], Wrists
[Murkblood Oven Mitts], Hands
[Dreadful Gladiator's Links of Cruelty], Waist
[Merciless Gladiator's Chain Leggings], Legs
[Cataclysmic Gladiator's Sabatons of Alacrity], Feet
[Rifle of the Platinum Guard], Gun
[Dreadful Gladiator's Chain Helm], Head
[Epaulets of the Devourer], Shoulders (alliance)
[Lightningbringer's Hauberk], Chest
[Lambent Scale Bracers], Wrists
[Mistshroud Gauntlets], Hands
[Dreadful Gladiator's Links of Cruelty], Waist
[Mighty Chain Pants], Legs
[Dreadful Gladiator's Sabatons of Cruelty], Feet
[Darkmaw Crossbow], Crossbow

Mage transmog - Burning magic 2.0

Sunlitfury and I became friends after a few weeks of guild raiding. I can only imagine what it would be like having me as a friend; one of the first things I said to him was that we HAVE to get him a proper transmog. When I first met him he was wearing gear from different tiers and mixed raid finder, normal and heroic gear, so I offered to help him out. He plays as a fire mage and wanted a flame-inspired gear so I suggested the mage transmog I previously uploaded called Burning magic. I gave him a few alternatives, including this one that I'm now uploading, which resembles my original Burning magic transmog but with different belt, robe, gloves and shoes. He bought the [Spire of Scarlet Pain] from me but unfortunately it doesn't hide weapon enchants, so half the time it has a purple glow. It's still a cool transmog for a fire mage though, and Sunlit looks amazing in it!

[Circle of Flame], Head
[Mantle of the Elven Kings], Shoulders
[Bloodfyre Robes of Annihilation], Chest
[Gossamer Gloves], Hands
[Mage-Fury Girdle], Waist
[Extravagant Boots of Malice], Feet
[Spire of Scarlet Pain], Staff
[Power Torrent], Weapon enchant

This transmog is available for any cloth class.

Druid transmog - Ferocious hoperender

I'm sure many of you would agree with me when I say that my last druid transmog resembles a restoration druid rather than a feral druid, so I thought it was time I created something for all the cute cats and bears out there. I went with the [Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders] as a base for this, because I thought they felt... feral-ish. I ended up with two similar sets, and this is how they turned out!

[Headguard of Solace], Head
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders], Shoulders
[Breastplate of the Incendiary Soul], Chest
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Gloves], Hands
[Vermillion Belt], Waist
[Leggings of the Broken Beast], Legs (alliance)
[Boots of the Neverending Path], Feet
[Hoperender], Polearm
[Ruthless Gladiator's Dragonhide Helm], Head
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Spaulders], Shoulders
[Breastplate of the Incendiary Soul], Chest
[Relentless Gladiator's Kodohide Gloves], Hands
[Cord of Dark Suffering], Waist
[Cinderweb Leggings], Legs
[Boots of the Neverending Path], Feet
[Irontree Spear], Polearm

Warrior transmog - Colossal gnome

I here have two slightly different warrior outfits that show one of my favourite plate helms, the Heroic tier helm for Warriors from Dragon Soul. The mace in the second transmog hides the glow effect from enchants.

[Colossal Dragonplate Helmet] (hc), Head
[Pauldrons of Conviction], Shoulders
[Chestplate of the Risen Soldier], Chest
[Colossal Dragonplate Gauntlets] (hc), Hands
[Ruthless Gladiator's Girdle of Prowess], Waist
[Legguard of the Apostle], Legs
[Stillheart Warboots] (hc), Feet
[Ethereum Nexus-Reaver], Axe, Two-hand

[Colossal Dragonplate Helmet] (hc), Head
[Pauldrons of Conviction], Shoulders
[Hydralick Armor], Chest
[Colossal Dragonplate Gauntlets] (hc), Hands

[Legguard of the Apostle], Legs
[Stillheart Warboots] (hc), Feet
[The Essence Focuser], Mace, Main hand
[Shard of Torment] (hc), Shield

Paladin transmog - Judgemental

It has not escaped me that the Judgement-set is extremely popular with paladins. While I like the colours on this set, I have never been a fan of robes on paladins, and I think the head looks really strange. My set is based on the Judgement set, using three parts from it, but I switched out the pieces that I disliked. I'm happy that I got a chance to use this sword for one of my transmogs. I really like how it looks and I've seen it drop soo many times, but I haven't had a good transmog to pair it up with up until now. The [Exalted Harness] also works very well as a chest for this, and I recommend using it if you're looking for a transmog that shows more skin... and if you're not a tauren.

[Judgement Spaulders], Shoulders
[Judgement Breastplate], Chest
[Replica Lightforge Bracers], Wrists
[Judgement Gauntlets], Hands
[Replica Lightforge Belt], Waist
[Enchanted Thorium Leggings], Legs
[Magma Tempered Boots], Feet
[Zoid's Firelit Greatsword], Sword, Two-hand

Rogue transmog - Warp-raiding assassin

It hit me that I only had one rogue transmog in my blog so far; one that I actually didn't make myself. So I decided to put something together, and let a level 1 goblin toon show it off. :] I thought his beard was so cute, I just had to upload the above close-up <3 It is moments like these that make me think World of Warcraft is a beautiful game.

Once again I mixed some random pieces from rogue tier and pvp gear with leather quest rewards, and I think I managed to match them pretty well for not using many set pieces. I present to you my newest creation: a brownish-orange, yellow and green rogue!

[Warp-Raider's Eyepatch], Head
[Shoulderpads of Vehemence], Shoulders
[Wrathful Gladiator's Leather Tunic], Chest
[Marshseeker Gloves], Hands
[Titan-Forged Belt of Triumph], Waist
[Shaggy Wyrmleather Leggings], Legs
[Slayer's Boots], Feet
[Darkmoon Dirk], Dagger, One-hand (off hand)
[Namlak's Supernumerary Sticker], Dagger, One-hand (main hand)

Paladin transmog - Selling stones

Let me introduce you to Stensäljarn, a paladin that I spotted while idling in Dalaran. After I had admired his gear for a while I whispered him and asked if I could promote him in my blog.

[Mask of Penance], Head
[Doomplate Shoulderguards], Shoulders
[Syrannis' Mystic Sheen], Cloak
[Vicious Ornate Pyrium Breastplate], Chest
[Stylish Black Shirt], Shirt
[Sporeggar Tabard], Tabard
[Vicious Ornate Pyrium Gauntlets], Gloves
[Vicious Ornate Pyrium Belt], Waist
[Vicious Ornate Pyrium Legguards], Legs
[Vicious Ornate Pyrium Boots], Feet
[Hungering Bone Gudgel], Mace, One-hand
[Brutal Gladiator's Shield Wall], Shield
[Windwalk], Weapon Enchant
[Darkmoon Dancing Bear], Mount

This guy has one of the best matching transmog-sets I've seen so far; good transmog sets like these make me happy :') He was kind enough to let me take print screens of him and feature him on my blog. Stensäljarn has combined the Blacksmithing Vicious Ornate Pyrium set with green and purple details on other items, such as his tabard, cloak and shield, which gives give the outfit a complete look. He even made sure his mount matches his gear. Well done!

This transmog is available for all plate classes.

Hunter transmog - Cataclysmic sagittarius

Finally, a hunter transmog! Now I have uploaded at least one of each class ^-^

Hunter has so far been the hardest class to create a good outfit for. As you might have noticed by looking at my transmogs, I like bright colours, and it seems like hunters mostly have dark, greyish brown gear.

I am not crazy about this outfit myself, but so far it will have to do (the lack of hunter transmogs in my blog was starting to bug me...). When I put this set together I started out by picking a bow that I liked and ended up with the [Ironfeather Longbow], which is a quest reward in Well of Eternity. The rest of the items are a mix of boss drops, quest rewards and crafting items. The shoulders can only be crafted with leatherworking and they bind when picked up, and therefore only leatherworkers can achieve this transmog.

[Vapor-Proof Headcover], Head
[Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes], Shoulders
[Cataclysmic Gladiator's Chain Armor], Chest
[Finder's Keepers], Hands
[Chillsteel Girdle], Waist
[Cataclysmic Gladiator's Chain Leggings], Legs
[Den Whomper Boots], Feet
[Ironfeather Longbow], Bow

Warlock transmog - Venomous nemesis

This robe dropped for me when I did Blackwing Lair today: the tier 2 Warlock robe. I immediately fell in love with it - it has everything a warlock needs - and decided to make an outfit around it. While browsing MogIt I encountered [Staff of Beasts], which looks almost as if it was created to match the robe, so I knew I had to pair these two together. This warlock-influenced staff is a quest reward from Ring of Blood in Nagrand, so if you kept your staff from that old questline you could try to gather this gear :]

[Venomshroud Mask], Head
[Voidheart Mantle], Shoulders
[Nemesis Robes], Chest
[Gloves of the Deadwatcher], Hands
[Malefic Girdle], Waist
[Vinerot Sandals], Feet
[Staff of Beasts], Staff

I completed the outfit with the t4 warlock shoulders (these have an animation effect with purple lightning bolts around them, and their token drops from Gruul's Lair), as well as some other gear that drops around Azeroth. The easiest way of getting the shawl would be the Auction House, while the gloves drop from Shirrak in Auchenai Crypts, the belt drops from Terestian Illhoof in Karazhan (two other belts that look the same also drop in Karazhan: one from Hyakiss the Lurker and one as a trash drop), and the boots drop from Razorlash in Maraudon.

Good luck!

Death Knight transmog - Frostwyrm's demise

Refilled game time equals more transmogs!

I decided it was finally time to make a transmog for Death Knights. I don't have a dk myself so creating this was... interesting, since I don't know much about how dk gear looks. Turns out they have a lot of skull patterns on their gear and they dress very well in black and blue, so I went with those two themes when I put this together. A frost death knight couldn't possibly wear anything else than a blue transmog :>

The tabard is only available for Horde (hence the awesome orc wearing this set) but a nice substitute would be [Tabard of the Lightbringer]. Unfortunately, that one is really hard to come by. The legs and the belt come from quests, but according to Wowhead you seem to be able to buy them back if you've already done them. The boots are bought for justice points and the rest of the items drop from bosses, so good luck rolling!

[Conqueror's Darkruned Helmet], Head
[Heaving Plates of Protection], Shoulders
[Breastplate of Avenging Flame], Chest
[Bladebreaker Gauntlets], Hands
[The Plaguebringer's Girdle], Waist
[Engraved Saronite Legplates], Legs
[Rock Furrow Boots], Feet
[Frostwolf Battle Tabard], Tabard (horde)
[Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps] (raid finder), Two-hand sword (upper picture)
[The Facelifter], One-hand sword (left picture)

Priest transmog - Benevolent priest

I apologize for my lack of updates the last month! As you might have figured out, my playtime ran out and I never bothered to refill it. I still have to put together a hunter and a dk outfit and I promise that I will do it once I start playing WoW again, but in the meantime I'll show you yet another cloth outfit (which actually is the one my inactive priest is wearing - you can check it out on her armory). This outfit is available for any cloth class but looks best on a priest in my opinion, since it contains recoloured pieces from the priest t6.

[Cowl of Benevolence], Head
[Windchanneller's Mantle], Shoulders
[Garments of Temperance], Chest
[Sage's Gloves], Hands
[Aerie Belt], Waist
[Titansteel Guardian], Mace, Main hand
[Tears of Heaven], Off-hand

I actually love this outfit, mainly because of the colours; beige, brown and blue is a really nice mix. The mace hides the weapon's enchant neatly with its own glow affect, and the off-hand I used for this is just lovely!

The head and the robe are parts from the priest t6 look-alike set and they both drop in Black Temple. Just in case the robe refuses to drop for you I'd like to recommend the raid finder-version of [Robes of Dying Light] instead; it actually fits this outfit really well too!

I refused to use the shoulders that go with the priest t6 look-alike set (I mean, really? Undead faces on your shoulders? What were they thinking?) and it took me forever to find a matching pair of shoulders that would be a nice substitution. The shoulders that I ended up with, [Windchanneller's Mantle], were actually tricky to come by and required exalted reputation with The Consortium, if I remember correctly, as well as a massive quest chain in Netherstorm (starting here in case you haven't done it already (which I hadn't)).

Fortunately, the gloves, belt, mace and off-hand were really easy to get. Good luck!

Warlock transmog - Dark essences

I am planning to at least make one transmog for each class to put on my blog before I show you all of the various priest outfits I've got in store. Today it was the warlocks' turn.

I have always associated warlocks with darkness and green; the kind of sickly green colour that radiates from some items and looks different from the druids' natural green colours. I love how the warlock sets tend to seethe of evil and I wanted to add those elements to this transmog. I think it turned out alright, and you just gotta love this staff.

[Sanctified Dark Coven Hood], Head
[Sanctified Dark Coven Shoulderpads], Shoulders
[Tailgunner's Flight Suit], Chest
[Spellfire Gloves], Hands
[Ruthless Gladiator's Cord of Accuracy], Waist
[Greenweave Sandals], Feet
[Staff of Siphoned Essences], Staff

Paladin transmog - Golden justice

I've always felt that gold is the right colour for paladins. When I found out the Field Marshal's Aegis was untransmogable I was crushed. These are by far the best looking shoulders for paladins in my opinion, and I now had to find a golden replacement for my paladin.

There are a few nice golden plate sets out there, including the Glorious and the Conqueror sets. I decided to put these together and I like this look for a paladin, even though I'd prefer the Field Mashal set.

[Pristine Lightforge Spaulders], Shoulders
[Heavy Mithril Breastplate], Chest
[Formal White Shirt], Shirt
[Ironforge Tabard], Tabard
[Conqueror's Gauntlets], Hands
[Glorious Belt], Waist
[Lawbringer Legplates], Legs
[Conqueror's Greaves], Feet
[Maw of the Dragonlord], Mace, One-hand
[Screaming Shield], Shield

[Pristine Lightforge Spaulders], Shoulders
[Heavy Mithril Breastplate], Chest
[Formal White Shirt], Shirt
[Arathor Battle Tabard], Tabard
[Conqueror's Gauntlets], Hands
[Glorious Belt], Waist
[Lawbringer Legplates], Legs
[Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand], Mace, Two-hand

Warrior transmog - Thalassian warrior

All of the pictures in my recent blog entries have been print screened using MogIt, an in game addon. And while this addon is excellent for putting together outfits, I do think it's a little boring to post outfits that aren't used by anyone in game. I'll see if I can find someone with nice gear to screenshot "in action" next time I play. :)

In today's post I am showing off a transmog set that I put together for my best friend, Libro. We all know that playing warrior isn't really his thing, but I do admit that as restoration shaman he is pretty good. I still think his old warrior deserves some love, and in this gear he looks kind of heroic, don't you think?

[Spaulders of the Thalassian Savior], Shoulders
[Spiked Cobalt Chestpiece], Chest
[Sunscale Gauntlets], Hands
[Girdle of Uther], Waist
[Spiked Cobalt Legplates], Legs
[Sunscale Sabatons], Feet
[Twinblade of the Phoenix], Sword, Two-hand

This gear is obtainable for all plate classes, but since I chose Libro as a model for it, I decided to call it a warrior transmog.

Mage transmog - Burning magic

I thought it was about time I uploaded some new inspiration. This is an outfit that I originally used for my priest - it is available for all cloth classes - but I think a fire mage would be able to lift this look to its full potential.

[Circle of Flame], Head
[Mantle of the Elven Kings], Shoulders
[Vermillion Robes of the Dominant], Chest
[Don Tayo's Inferno Mittens], Hands
[Sash of Serpentra], Waist
[Kavan's Foresaken Treads], Feet
[Staff of the Sunchaser], Staff (left), or
[Spire of Scarlet Pain], Staff (right)

As said, this transmog works for all cloth classes since it contains no class specific pieces. For a healing priest with main hand mace and an off-hand weapon, [Truncheon of Five Hells] (which hides enchants) together with [Darkmist Orb] are nice alternatives. This is a fairly easy set to obtain, so good luck!

EDIT: Also check out my newer, similar version of this set.

Shaman transmog - Spiritbound

Shaman transmog - take two.

After my friend Mebriel respectfully had turned down the last transmog I presented to him, this is what I came up with. I think this look suited his taste better, since he wanted something more "shaman-ish" as well as something that didn't look as organized. There were plently of items with a shaman-feel to them, especially alot of items that looks good on trolls, and these shoulders caught my attention. I still don't think Mebriel was quite pleased and he will probably keep his outfit the way it is, but I decided I'd at least post this transmog here.

[Steadfast Coronet], Head
[Spiritbinder Spaulders], Shoulders
[Darkmoon Chain Shirt], Chest
[Sporebeard Gauntlets], Gloves
[Nazferiti Belt], Waist
[Kilt of Dark Mercy], Legs
[Fiend Slayer Boots], Feet
[Insanity's Grip], Fist Weapon, Main Hand

This outfit is available for all mail classes.

Shaman transmog - Garments of flame

My friend Mebriel asked me to find a set for his newly dinged enhancement shaman. I hadn't played around alot with mail sets before, so I accepted the challenge and quickly fell in love with the Battleforge set, and decided to make an outfit based on it. This is what I came up with - and he didn't like it at all. Just as well I guess, since I reckon it's hard to come by. Many pieces are rare drops that would cost a fortune on AH, and another friend of mine says it looks too skimpy (have you not seen the outfits in Tera?!). Now I'm off to find a new set for my friend to wear. :)

[Crown of Flame], Head
[Cataclysm Shoulderguards], Shoulders
[Engraved Breastplate], Chest
[Battleforge Gauntlets], Gloves
[Engraved Girdle], Waist
[Battleforge Legguards], Legs
[Khan's Greaves], Feet
[Claw of Molten Fury], Fist Weapon, Main Hand

Other inspirational sources

I have seen alot of people transmogging their characters into entire sets, for example a tier set. That is always nice of course if you want to reminisce about the good old TBC or Vanilla times. I, however, prefer mixing tier gear with PvP gear or even greens and blues to achieve a more unique look. But it's hard to find matching sets without the right tools, so I thought I would make a compilation of websites that would be helpful in the search of the perfect transmog.

Addons are perfect for browsing gear in game, but if you want to check out some gear without launching the game client, there are alot of useful websites as well.

Addons:
  • MogIt - An AMAZING addon that I just recently downloaded. You can preview an extensive range of items and put together sets with this addon, and alot of the screenshots I upload to my blog are previewed with this addon.
  • AtlasLoot - The addon I've primarily been using while creating my transmog sets. It is a very useful addon, but a bit flawed when it comes to creating outfits since it doesn't include alot of greens or blues.
Websites:
  • World of Wardrobes - A great website where you can browse gear in different categories, based on armor type or colour.
  • WoW Roleplay Gear - Lists alot of sets available for the different armor types.
  • MogMyGear - A very clearly structured website where you can preview different green, blue, epic and heirloom sets depending on which class or race you pick.
  • Icy Veins - Allows you to browse items, categorized either by armor type or item model.
  • Disenchanting Azeroth - A blog full of reviews on weapons and weapon designs.
  • WoW Tabards - Not everyone uses tabards, but they can do wonders for some transmogs. This site shows all the tabards available in game and where you get them.

Rogue transmog - Demonic

I stumbled upon Shadowángel by accident, an accommodating rogue whose gear I will feature in this post. I spotted him in Dalaran, showing off his Netherblade gear and Warglaives, and he easily stood out in the crowd with his TBC-inspired gear. Shadowángel let me take a few screenshots of him, and showed me some of his outfits (I think the Netherblade-combination to the right is my favourite).

We discussed the fact that you can't transmog to legendary items such as the [Warglaives of Azzinoth] he's wielding. While I think they would be nice transmog items, he explained to me that he thinks it is a good thing they aren't transmoggable because they will remain more exlcusive this way. He also proved that he could still do 50k dps on Madness of Deathwing in LFR with these level 70 swords. Impressive!

As you already might have figured out, the t4 Netherblade gear shown above is only available for rogues. Shadowángel did however show me some other outfits that are more easily accessibile for other classes. Down below are some screenshots of his current red and black leather gear, where all the clothing is available for druids as well as rogues, except from the rogue tier 2 shoulders.

The sets below include the following:
[Cursed Vision of Sargeras], Head
[Bloodfang Spaulders], Shoulders
[Wolf Rider's Padded Amor], Chest
[Embossed Leather Gloves], Gloves
[Bladeshadow Wristguards], Wrists
[Dark leather Belt], Waist
[Warbear Woolies], Legs
[Prospector's Boots], Feet
Left picture: [Warglaive of Azzinoth], Main hand Sword
Left picture: [Warglaive of Azzinoth], Off hand Sword
Right picture: [The Night Blade], One-hand Dagger
Right picture: [Searing Sunblade], Off hand Dagger

These beautiful red/black and yellow daggers hide enchants. The red/black dagger, [The Night Blade], is probably the item on the list that would take the longest to farm, though.

And yes. Yes, I do think most outfits suit female models better.

Druid transmog - Blessing of Elune

This look is probably my favourite of all transmog sets so far, featuring the [Valorous Nightsong Spaulders] (why do druids get all the nice gear?) from the druid tier 8. I put this set together for my friend and helped him farm it, and I think his night elf druid Illthiá looks awesome in it!

This set is mainly a mix of druid tier pieces; the chest, legs and shoes are from the t2 Stormrage set, while the head, shoulders and gloves are parts from the t8 Valorous Nightsong set. A brown belt and a green or white haircut makes this outfit complete. My weapon of choice would be the [Draenic Wildstaff], but since my friend had a dagger equipped we went with a matching PvP-dagger and one of the off-hands available for purchase from the Justice point vendors.

Forget all about Landslide

I recently found out that some weapons hide the enchants and only show the glow that comes with the weapon. Transmogging to these weapons will hide the enchants as well. This means that you don't have to watch your weapon drip mud due to the [Landslide]-enchant anymore!

I stumbled upon a thread on the WoW-forums, where a rogue called Töki has created an excellent list of weapons that hide enchants. Töki has categorized them by colour, which is perfect for those looking for a good transmog replacement. The list can be found in the European forums, right here.

Priest transmog - Holy waters

I will start by showing off the transmog I used to have on my priest Linnéa (as seen in the pictures). It is a strict cloth set, with a mix of priest t7 och t11 and consist of the following:

[Valorous Crown of Faith], Head
[Valorous Shoulderpads of Faith], Shoulders
[Mercurial Robes], Chest
[Mercurial Handwraps], Gloves
[Sash of the Parlor], Waist
[Mallet of the Tides], One-hand Mace
[Mystic Tome], Off-hand
[Heartsong], Weapon enchant

Plus a blue haircut!

Blue is my favourite colour, so naturally I loved this one! I hated the belt that went with the t11 set ([Cord of the Raven Queen]), and I never got my hands on the bulky t11 shoulders ([Mercurial Shoulderwraps]), but the t7 belt and shoulders matches almost perfectly, as well as the nice halo.

The t7 pieces (head, chest, shoulders) drop in Naxxramas, 25 man and the t11 pieces (the Mercurial gear) can be bought for Justice points in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. The mace drops in Serpentshrine Cavern, and the off-hand can be created by inscriptors (or bought off the AH).

If you have any questions (or critique!) about the look, leave a comment and I will reply as soon as I can~

Introduction

Hi, and welcome to Forever Level 1, a blog dedicated to World of Warcraft fashion and transmogrification.

Since this is my very first blog entry I thought I would introduce myself. I'm called Ea and I've been playing World of Warcraft regularly since the middle of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, though I had tried playing it for short periods of time since Vanilla. Back in Vanilla I didn't know much about gear and stats so I would just put on anything that matched, such as cloth gear meant for level 5 on my level 20 druid. Needless to say, it took a while (and alot of kiting) to kill my enemies.

Today I have better gear and more experience. Since WotLK I have been maining my holy priest and now I also have a protection paladin as my alt. I was thrilled when Blizzard anounced that they would release transmog - this meant I could wear almost any gear that I wanted again. And here I am - pleased enough with my gear that I've made a blog about it!

In this blog I will feature my favourite transmogs (my own as well as other), items, and websites that provide good transmog tips.

I hope you enjoy your stay!
